A&G Calzaturificio (Shoe factory) S.p.a was born at the beginning of 90's on the foundations of VRP firm, established in 1967 on the iniziative of Aldo Ricci. In the same years the Janet & Janet mark emerged, representing the turning point toward a new challenge.
In fact, by the creation of this new brand, the whole production, in the beginning based on the wholesale channel with "private label" productions, definitively shifts to the retail channel so starting an important stylistic and of image course that in the following years will bring Janet & Janet to strengthen a distributive profile with a remarkable prestige.
In 1998 the second line was born, Janet Sport, that will enable the firm to widen and increase the offer for sale into a distinctly casual and sportswear sphere.
Nowadays, A&G Calzaturificio SpA, a first-class business enterprise, is in continuous movement and evolution, thanks to ownership of such cult brands as Janet & Janet and Janet Sport.

From the very beginning, in 1967, the firm was already renowned for its ability to blend know-how and on-going innovation. It was with great attention and intelligent curiosity that they kept pace with the progression of the marketplace and its evolving trends, always changing with the times of the increasingly global marketplace stimulate their avant-garde spirit and entrepreneurial courage: communication and advertising is increasingly incisive, with trendsetting fashion brands and recognised production and distribution efficiency.

Thanks to this approach, A&G Calzaturificio SpA, has 90 employees and its headquarters are located in the hills of the Marche region of Italy. Although its major market is mainly in Europe, A&G is now also branching out to the USA and the Middle East through a consolidated network of contacts: privileged partnerships with the most important showcases of the industry, resulting in continuous growth that generates excellent results. A great success achieved thanks to the company’s ability to grow in an international direction while still holding on to a fundamental style and expertise only Italians can claim.

A&G manufactures the highly successful “Janet & Janet” and “Janet Sport” brands, products which have become favourites amongst its female clientele as “daily designer footwear”, the all-important added touch which can embellish a woman’s daily look with taste, fashion, style and practicality. The Janet woman is modern, dynamic and carefully crafts her image, and she knows how to choose, from amongst a myriad of brands, the right one for her. She is a woman with personality.
Janet&Janet is A&G’s most important brand (representing 60% of its revenue) and is made up of 12 different shoe models, as well as a collection of trendy handbags. It occupies a position in the medium to high-end market.
