OUR COMMUNITY IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY
Within the last few weeks, the world has been forced to confront the reality of a global spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). Our hearts go out to all those who have been affected and we are committed to do our part to reduce community exposure to the virus.
The health and safety of our community of customers and associates is our first priority, so with the guidance of health authorities, local governments and the World Health Organization, we have made the decision to temporarily close our North America retail store locations through at least April 5.
All employees impacted by these closures will continue to receive full pay and benefits while our stores remain closed. No one should have to worry about a paycheck during this difficult time.
For now, we will continue to offer our products at www.thenorthface.com. This is obviously a fluid situation, so we’ll be monitoring and adjusting our response and timeline accordingly.
Our commitment to community is one of our key values of The North Face, and it has been a challenge thinking through how to continue to foster that community and spirit of exploration while we’re all being asked to practice “social distancing”, stay indoors and limit all unnecessary interaction for the health and safety of ourselves and others. This global crisis has reminded us that empathy is one of the key drivers of exploration. During this difficult time, we encourage you all to reach out to those around you, be kind to one another and embrace our collective humanity. Distancing shouldn’t mean disconnection and we will do our part to champion that spirit of exploration in new ways over the near-term.
