Final day at the Billabong Pro Tahiti… No pain. No glory.
The massive south swell was there early this morning for the final day at Teauhpoo. It's big and pefect. It was really close in the end between john John Florence, Kelly Slater and Gabriel Medina, every wave was a battle in the nine points range.

Professional surfing really doesn't get any better than this. After an epic day yesterday, Teahupoo got even better as 10 - 12 foot sets graced the lineup along with perfect conditions for the final day of competition at the Billabong Pro Tahiti.

It started a touch slow, but as the day went on the swell rose and Teahupo'o delivered for Round 3 of the Billabong Pro Tahiti.

The swell was not as big as yesterday for Day Tow of the Billabong Pro Tahiti and the wind that blew last night forced the contest director to start the event a little bit later in the morning but it paid off and really good barrels and overall conditions greeted the contestants.

Every year as we get closer and closer to the Billabong Pro Tahiti memories from past events and past swells fill the brain and our monitors. Of all the memories we have of Andy Irons, few stick out like the many extraordinary moments he had at Teahupoo. From "that wave" to his last WCT victory, AI always went for it all at Chopes and we could never thank him enough.
